International StudiesInternational Studies is an interdisciplinary department which presents students the background for understanding current international realities and world affairs. This program offers U.S. citizen undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to take part in 10-week paid internships that provide intensive academic and professional experience throughout the surroundings of America’s principal international affairs agency.

Not like worldwide studies applications at many different selective liberal arts colleges, Wittenberg’s program requires all students to take 4 programs we consider are basic to an understanding of international research – worldwide relations, modern world historical past, primary geography and international economics.

The International Studies program affords an interdisciplinary main, with the option of concentrating in Diplomacy and Safety or Sustainability and Global Justice, and three interdisciplinary minors: Latin American Research, Middle East Research or Peace Research.

Our curriculum cultivates skills which can be translatable throughout continents and cultures, and offers undergraduate students with the necessary background in global affairs and intercultural communications, in addition to career-centered concentrations.

The major is properly-suited to college students fascinated about careers in such quickly rising sectors as international business, legislation, media, governmental and non-governmental organizations concerned with diplomacy, coverage-making, global justice, sustainability, public health, peace, aid operations, immigration, and the environment.
